Update on Mountain Home Handyman

As of March 9th, 2020, my wife and I have sold our house and moved from Mammoth. It was a decision several years in the making, and like any major change, it comes with the good and the bad.

We will miss our daily walks in the mountains, the outstanding Mammoth summers, and all the wonderful friends we have made. We will not miss the crowded weekends, the long lines at Vons, and mid-winter piles of snow.

We decided to look for a home in the Gardnerville/Minden area in Nevada. For those of you that are not Mammoth locals, this is about 2 hours north of Mammoth and where most locals go for their “big box” shopping. It sits right at the foothills below Tahoe, which is less than 30 minutes away. I figure, if I really need to get in a few turns in fresh powder, it’s a pretty easy drive.

I will miss the community of Mammoth, the gathering of locals at the Bean, and our home church. But, we are anticipating a new community, and more opportunity for us. Over the last 3 or 4 years, in addition to handyman services, I have been providing bookkeeping services to several contractor friends, as well as our church. Having done bookkeeping since the early 70’s (yes I really am that old), including for a couple of my own businesses, and considering the fact I enjoy working with numbers, and helping out business clients, I have decided to pursue more business in this field. My new business name, unofficial as of yet, will be Mountain Business Service. Looking forward to helping others in just a different way.

Thank you for your interest in our company, and perhaps we’ll see you up this way!
